All new arts innovators fund appoints Paul Knight

Filmmaker Paul Knight has been appointed to head up MMBF Trust’s new fund being dubbed The Matthew Martino Innovators Fund.

This MMBF Trust -funded opportunity provides 10 groups or individuals with £250 to help kick-start their creative projects. In the past MMBF Trust has funded everything from dance and film projects to music videos and photography collectives. Whatever creative field you work in, we’ll consider your application.

Carol Suvarov for MMBF gushed about the appointment saying ‘I am so excited and honoured to be welcome Paul Knight to the MMBF family, he will head up our all new innovators fund. We like Paul’s motivation and vision as its very much in line with what MMBF is set up to do.’

The MMBF (Matthew Martino Benevolent Fund) is a UK based international charity that supports filmmakers, actors and individuals studying or working in performing arts worldwide through training grants and scholarships, funding for first time filmmakers and provides sponsorship for film related events such as film festivals and film award ceremonies. We also support aviation students and aspiring pilots with support towards their fees costs, training material and medical costs.

Knight commented on the appointment telling us “The ethos behind the MMBF falls directly in line with my own so when the opening presented itself to be a part of something that believes in nurturing tomorrow’s talent today, I did what all of us should do when presented with an exciting opportunity, I seized it.

I look forward to actively being involved in helping make our creative talent mark their first impact within their chosen field as they discover and develop beyond what they deemed possible – Believe, Achieve, Succeed.”
